The ODDS & MODS elective courses began in January 2024 with a skill building IAP workshop. Entitled, TOOLING UP for Material Circularity with ODDS & MODS this two week course enabled students to explore computational frameworks for the characterization, design and assembly of geometrically irregular forms.
Studio
Throughout the course, students worked in groups to design a building material reuse center. Beginning with an existing architectural model as a material repository, students deconstructed the model, then characterized and inventoried its constituent materials. The available materials and an array of digital tools informed the design of the reuse center.
