Half-Brick System explores the reuse of discarded half-bricks, leveraging their standard width and irregular fracture patterns to create a modular system in which individual bricks assemble into larger-scale building blocks. This approach enables a range of functions, from markets and retail spaces to storage facilities. The system was applied at Mexico City’s Xochimilco Market, transforming it into a large-scale rainwater collection and purification infrastructure, providing a public space for citizens to access water.
